WHO KNOWS YOU BETTER THAN ME?

Bleeding with regrets, drowning in mistakes
Life has hardened the arteries of my emotions
How do I forget what I’ve always done, always been?
There’s got a be a reset button here somewhere?
How do I unsubscribe from the channel of my own life?
No breadcrumbs, let me get lost in the art
Every line, another step I take towards freedom
The keys I seek are in someone else’s eyes
If I can just glance at her, dance with her
Then I’ll know the true meaning of life
How can there be any change without a conversation?
There’s nothing more romantic than a date with silence

The curse is tied to the gift I was given
For without the loneliness, the words would have no lips
It’s the pain that allows the words to kiss your soul
Confusing sometimes, but this whole thing is bigger than me
This whole thing is bigger than me

Your special to me, that’s why I write symbolically
So when you discover the words you’ll know your mine
Make a wish, then throw your pennies in the fountain
Let your dream be the air in our lungs
Who knows you better than me?
Who lives in your closet like I do?
Our moments, loaded guns
Our nights, the desert sun
Let us not just go through the motions
For both of us need something real
We both know plastic love melts in the cold
But at least the pain reminds us we’re alive
I’ve died in the wrong arms many times
So have you, so please do this for me
Close your eyes, let my words bring you to me
For on these pages we can live forever
Just let my words bring you to me
For on these pages we can live forever
Who knows you better than me???
